Procedure Stages
- Free of charge
- 20-30 minute appointment
- Provide diagnostics, explain what is necessary for treatment, and touch on all finances concerning your orthodontics.
- You will be scheduled for an initial diagnostics records appointment.
Initial Orthodontic Consultation
- Records can be done the same day as the initial exam in our office, however, one of your x-rays will need to be taken at a professional orthodontic lab and can usually see you the same day (allow 15 minutes).
- Beginning diagnostic records - $250.00
- Records consist of study models, photos, panorex, cephalometric x-ray, and a cephalometric tracing. Approximately 30-minute appointment.

Second Consultation
- Determines and confirms diagnosis by reviewing records.
- Discuss any other work needed before orthodontics can begin such as cavities that need filled, cleanings, extractions, etc.
- Financial arrangements are signed
- Spacers inserted, if needed (can stay in for 7-14 days before full banding procedure.)
Full Banding
- One half-hour procedure
- Complete down payment due at this time
- All appliances will be put on at this time and patients will be given directions on how to care for their new orthodontic appliances.
Treatment Time (Monthly Visits)
- Usually take 15-30 minutes (unless otherwise stated)
- Doctor will regularly change patients wires, instruct patient on tooth brushing techniques, and explain how treatment is progressing.
Debanding
- All fees must be paid before any appliance can be removed
- 2 -2 ½ hours are needed for this appointment.
- Make appointment for placement of retainers. (first set are included in contract)
Retention
Must have excellent cooperation by wearing retainers as indicated by the doctor. (First year, full-time 24 hours a day, followed by nighttime wear for the next five years.)
Your active treatment fee includes one year of orthodontic retainer visits. After one year, you will be seen twice a year on a regular office basis of $45.00 per visit.
