Our Team

We find it most rewarding to watch as someone's teeth and jaws gradually shift into alignment while improving their self-esteem and increasing their sense of well-being. Our distinguished "Patient Manager" system allows us to closely monitor the progress of each patient's progress, throughout their treatment, from beginning to end, to allow for optimal results. Each one of us is here to motivate, answer questions and help each patient through their orthodontic phases.

Cindy Buescher

Treatment Coordinator / Office Administrator

Cindy has been Dr. Smith's office coordinator since 1991. Her passions have included raising funds for the Leukemia Society through Team in Training and hot air ballooning. She greatly enjoys spending time with her husband, their six grown children, her three grandchildren, Bible study, experimenting in the kitchen, entertaining, decorating, and walking the family bulldog, Bertha.

Amber

Front Desk Coordinator

Amber is our front desk coordinator. She joined Dr. Smith's orthodontic team in September 2005. She grew up in Early, Texas and relocated to Austin in August of 2005. Amber currently attends Texas State University and is looking to earn her degree in Psychology. She enjoys travelling, outdoor watersports, recreational reading, and playing with her spoiled Yorkshire Terrier, Pancake.

JoAnna

Clinic Bay Coordinator / Patient Manager / Lab Technician

JoAnna joined Dr. Smith's orthodontic team in 2005 as our Clinic Bay Coordinator/Patient Manager and Lab Technician. She is originally from Fort Worth and recently moved to Austin to continue achieving her goal of going to medical school and one day becoming a plastic surgeon. She enjoys reading, playing the piano, tennis, skiing, snowboarding, playing with her yorkshire terrier, Hobbes Hoang, and most importantly spending time with her family.

Jerod

Patient Coordinator / Lab Technician

Jerod is our Patient Coordinator/Lab Technician. He grew up in Anna, Texas and moved to Austin in 2002 to attend The University of Texas. He is a geography major and also Pre-Dental. He began working for Dr. Smith in April 2005. He is applying for dental school for the fall of 2007. He enjoys going to Texas Longhorn sporting events and hunting.

Laurie

Laurie has a passion for people, church, and God. She is truly one of those people who has never met a stranger that she doesn't like. She has an extensive back ground in real estate which brings together her marketing skills with people skills into the perfect position helping to build on the improvement in our office and connect with the valuable people in our community by getting the word out about our awesome practice. Laurie has a deep passion for interior decorating, dancing, and singing, as well as the doctor himself, being the doctor's wife. A little secret about Laurie that most people aren't aware of is her past job performance of singing and dancing with Mickey and Minnie on stage at Walt Disney World in Orlando as she acquired her degree in vocal performance from the University of Central Florida.
